Our free School Programs are designed to extend teachers’ existing classroom curricula into Riverside Park. Through guided inquiry, close observation and hands-on activities, students discover the rich diversity of life in their neighborhood park.
We meet classes at the entrance to the Park closest to their school. Each field trip lasts approximately one hour.
These programs are designed to support New York City’s Elementary Science Scope and Sequence and address city and state science concept and process standards.
In 2006 our school programs were even featured on ABC and NBC local news!
