Movies Under the Stars

Pack a picnic, bring a friend and settle in for a night of premier Hollywood movies. This year’s theme: Nieuw York/New York – films that span the centuries, in honor of the Hudson River Quadricentennial. Sponsored by Riverside South Properties.
This week’s movie: The Age of Innocence (1870s), starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Winona Ryder; Directed by Martin Scorcese (1993). Martin Scorcese’s drama, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Edith Wharton, depicts a man caught between two women and two worlds in the New York of the 1870’s, a time of lavish excess and social hypocrisy.
