Movies Under the Stars

Pack a picnic, bring a friend and settle in for a night of premier Hollywood movies. This year’s theme: Nieuw York/New York – films that span the centuries, in honor of the Hudson River Quadricentennial. Sponsored by Riverside South Properties.
This week’s movie: Dinner at Eight (1930s) , starring Marie Dressler, John Barrymore, Jean Harlow, Wallace Berry, Lionel Barrymore, Billie Burke (1933). The all-star film version of the George S. Kaufman/Edna Ferber comic stage hit. Socially ambitious Gotham hostess Billie Burke throws a dinner party and everyone’s coming – no matter what happened to them that day.
