Pack a picnic, bring a friend and settle in for a night of premier Hollywood movies. This year’s theme: Nieuw York/New York – films that span the centuries, in honor of the Hudson River Quadricentennial. Sponsored by Riverside South Properties.
This week’s movie: Wall Street (1980s), starring Michael Douglas, Charlie Sheen, Darryl Hannah; Directed by Oliver Stone (1987). In a shockingly relevant New York fable for our times, a young and impatient stockbroker, willing to do anything to get to the top, trades on illegal inside information from a ruthless and greedy corporate raider who takes the newcomer under his wing.
