Hemophilia Walk

83rd Street inside the Park

The NY Hemophilia Walk, is now in its fourth year and is a great way to raise awareness and funds for the bleeding disorders community. The walk is open to family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and anyone else that is interested in having fun for a good cause!

The Walk registration and start/finish line is at W. 83rd Street inside Riverside Park by River Run Playground. The 1 Mile walk goes to 91st Street and turns around before Hippo Playground; the 5K walk continues to 110th Street. Both distances finish at 83rd Street.

Please join us on July 12th in walking one step closer to a cure!

Kayaking on the Hudson

72nd Street Launch (72nd Street at the Hudson River)


Join the Downtown Boathouse for 20-minute instructional paddles, and explore the Hudson River first hand. Participants are required to wear a bathing suit, or shorts and a t-shirt, and you must know how to swim. Downtown Boathouse volunteers will supply life jackets, kayaks, paddles, and some tips on paddling. Weather permitting only. For daily weather status: (646) 613-0740.

Shakespeare in Riverside Park: Hamlet

North Patio of Soldiers' & Sailors' Monument

Join Hudson Warehouse, the Other Shakespeare in the Park, for their production of Hamlet, a classic Shakespeare tragedy.

The play, set in Denmark, recounts how Prince Hamlet exacts revenge on his uncle Claudius, who has murdered Hamlet’s father, the King, and then taken the throne and married Gertrude, Hamlet’s mother.

Acoustic Sundays

Enjoy spectacular sunsets over the Hudson as you listen to some of New York’s best jazz, R&B, and world music. Sponsored by Riverside South Properties.

This week’s performer: La Cumbiamba NY – Colombian woodwind, brass & drums. La Cumbiana NY performs music from the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of Colombia in both TRADITIONAL (Gaitas y Tambores) and TROPICAL (Modern Papayera) formats. The ensemble performs concerts and workshops with traditional instruments from the African Diaspora in Colombia, as well as indigenous and European.

Riverside Park South is located on the Hudson River between 59th and 72nd Streets. This event is FREE. Weather Permitting. Call 212-408-0219 for information.
