Calling all blankets, picnic baskets, and candles! Riverside Clay Tennis Association is once again hosting its series of sunset concerts sponsored by the all-natural beverage CurrantC and the omega-3 sports supplement Recoup90, celebrates our fabulous park and represents the rich cultural diversity of the Upper West Side. Bring your picnic basket and blanket and join us. Stick around afterward and watch the fireflies rise up out of the lawn and the stars speckle the sky.

Join us for an evening of jazz featuring world-renowned bassist Ron McClure and his ensemble. Rain date: July 5; 7 pm

Jazzmobile

Grant's Tomb (122nd Street & Riverside Drive)

Since 1964, Jazzmobile has been presenting Free Outdoor Summer Mobile Concerts. As the pioneer mobile music organization, Jazzmobile has brought the great Jazz Artists of our time directly to the public throughout the five boroughs of New York City. This week’s performer: Houston Person. Tenor saxophonist Houston Person came to national attention with his successful 30-year musical partnership with vocalist Etta Jones. This program is free of charge.

This week’s performer: La Cumbiamba NY – Colombian woodwind, brass & drums. La Cumbiana NY performs music from the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of Colombia in both TRADITIONAL (Gaitas y Tambores) and TROPICAL (Modern Papayera) formats. The ensemble performs concerts and workshops with traditional instruments from the African Diaspora in Colombia, as well as indigenous and European.

As the pioneer mobile music organization, Jazzmobile has brought the great Jazz Artists of our time directly to the public throughout the five boroughs of New York City. This week’s performer: Frank Foster Big Band conducted by Cecil Bridgewater. Frank Foster is well known as the former leader of The Count Basie Band. This program is free of charge.
